Repeat Prescriptions
ORDER YOUR REPEAT PRESCRIPTION HERE
Requests for repeat prescriptions for patients on regular medication are taken on-line here, by post, or in person at the Surgery:They cannot be taken over the telephone.
Please:
allow 2 working days (48 hours) for your prescription to be processed;
if you have more than one repeat prescription, if possible, order all your items together;
tick the items you require on the request form;
clearly indicate where you would like the prescription form sent on the request form (we can send your prescription directly to the Oaks Pharmacy, the chemist next to the Surgery, to your home address - remember to enclose a stamped addressed envelope - or you can collect it from the Surgery).
Prescription Charges
The current charge is £7.10 per item of medicine. However, people in the following categories are automatically exempt from prescription charges:
children under 16 years of age;
under 19’s who are in full-time education;
over 60’s;
pregnant women;
women who have had a baby in the last 12 months;
those receiving DHSS benefits;
those with specific medical conditions.
Prescription ‘Season Ticket’
It is sometimes worthwhile to buy a season ticket for pre-payment of prescription charges. For details, contact the surgery, the Oaks Pharmacy or the Family Health Support Agency.
